Terms of use

Status: In force. Last changed: 16 October 2026 (the operator named, the scope of these terms stated, and the reference to your payments agreement corrected). Effective from: 21 September 2026.

These terms govern your use of the Wasp Developer Portal, operated by Stratsol Pty Ltd, a payments technology company based in Sydney, Australia. By registering for or using the portal, you agree to them.

These terms cover your use of the portal only. Taking payments through Wasp is governed by the agreements under which your business takes payments, and offering Apple Pay or Google Pay also requires accepting Apple's and Google's own terms.

If you are using the portal on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for that company, and "you" means both you and that company.

Documentation on this portal is no longer fully public. Each page declares the access it needs and that is enforced on every request: some pages are open to anyone, some open once you have registered, and the rest — along with the protected API references — need a Wasp scope granted to your account. The step between registering and being granted anything is not automated and is not meant to be.

1. Access levels

What you can access depends on three separate things, and none of them implies another.

How it is obtainedAccess level
AnonymousUnrestrictedEnough to understand Wasp and decide whether to register: what the platform does, the integration choices, support, and these terms
RegisteredYou create an account and verify your email addressYour portal account and its status, the concepts and preparation you need to choose an integration, and the ability to ask for access to a merchant
Granted accessAn administrator for the merchant you work with grants itThe API references, implementation material and sandbox capability, each according to what you were granted
  • Registering proves who you are. That is its whole job. It grants nothing else, and it does not entitle you to anything beyond it.
  • Being connected to a merchant establishes which organisation you work with. It explains why you might be entitled to that merchant's material. It does not by itself open any of it.
  • Access is granted deliberately, item by item, by someone entitled to grant it. Stratsol and the merchant's administrators decide who receives what and may decline without giving reasons.

2. Your account

  • Register with accurate details and keep them current.
  • Your account is personal to you. Do not share your credentials, and do not let anyone else use your account.
  • Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
  • One person, one account. Do not register multiple accounts to obtain access you have been declined.
  • Registering for an account does not create any legal relationship between you and Stratsol beyond these Terms of Use.

3. Using the material

What you may do

Stratsol grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the portal's material for the purpose of evaluating Wasp and building, testing and operating an integration with it, strictly in accordance with the Terms of Use.

Code examples are yours to use. The example code published in this portal is provided so you can copy it, adapt it, and incorporate it into your own systems, including commercially. You do not need to attribute it and adapting it does not make your application a derivative work of ours. This sample code is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Stratsol assumes no liability for any damages, data loss, or system failures resulting from its use. Use at your own risk.

What you may not do

  • Distribute any information contained in the Wasp Developer Portal to any public media or quote or use such information in any public media;
  • Allow access to the information contained in the Wasp Developer Portal to any company, firm, partnership, association, individual, group of individuals or other legal entity
  • Attempt to circumvent access controls or reach material you have not been granted.
  • Probe, scan or test the security of the portal or of Wasp without written authorisation from Stratsol.
  • Use the portal to build a product that competes with Wasp.

Confidential material

Material that requires an account or a grant to reach — in particular, the API specifications — is confidential to Stratsol. Treat it with at least the care you apply to your own confidential information, and do not disclose it outside your organisation. This obligation survives the ending of your access.

4. The sandbox

Sandbox credentials, where you have been granted them, are for testing an integration and nothing else.

Never put real payment data in the sandbox

Do not enter real card numbers, real cardholder data, or real customer personal information into the sandbox — yours or anyone else's. Use only the test values Stratsol provides.

Sandbox activity is monitored, may be reset or cleared without notice, and carries no availability commitment.

5. Intellectual property

Stratsol owns the portal, its documentation, its specifications, and the Wasp name and marks. Except for the licence in section 3, nothing here transfers any intellectual property to you.

You may say that you integrate with Wasp. You may not use Stratsol's or Wasp's names or marks in a way that suggests endorsement, partnership or certification without written permission.

All third-party product and service names are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners. Apple Pay is a trademark of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries and regions.

The Wasp Developer Portal may contain links to websites owned or operated by parties other than us. Such links are provided for your reference only. We do not monitor or control outside websites and are not responsible for their content. Our inclusion of links to an outside website does not imply any endorsement of the material on our website or, unless expressly disclosed otherwise, any sponsorship, affiliation or association with its owner, operator or sponsor, nor does our inclusion of the links imply that we are authorized to use any trade name, trademark, logo, legal or official seal, or copyrighted symbol that may be reflected in the linked website.

6. Your data

When you register, we collect the details you give us. The pages you view once signed in may be recorded. What we collect, what we plan to collect, why, and how long we keep it is set out in the Privacy notice.

Note also:

  • What you read will never affect what you are granted. Where we record it, we will use it to improve the documentation and to understand what developers need — never to decide your access.
  • We will keep any such record for 12 months, then delete it.

7. Changes

Wasp and its documentation change. We may update, restructure or withdraw material, and we may change these terms. Where a change materially affects you, we will tell registered users before it takes effect.

Documentation describes Wasp as it is intended to work. It is not a warranty of behaviour, and it is not a contractual specification of the platform. Where these terms and the documentation disagree, these terms apply. Where documentation and the agreement under which your business takes payments through Wasp disagree, that agreement applies.

8. Availability and liability

The portal is provided "as is", "as available" basis, without representations or warranties of any kind. We do not represent or warrant that the information on the portal is accurate, complete, reliable, useful, timely or current or that the portal will operate without interruption or error. We make no representation or guarantee about any services offered through the portal.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we specifically disclaim all warranties and conditions of any kind, including all implied warranties and conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement for the portal and any services you access through it. We shall not have any liability or responsibility for any errors or omissions in the content of the portal, for your action or inaction in connection with the portal or for any damage to your computer or data or any other damage you may incur in connection with the portal. Your use of the portal is at your own risk. In no event shall either Stratsol, our employees, directors or our agents be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of or in any way connected with the use of the portal and services accessed through the portal, the delay or inability to use the portal or otherwise arising in connection with the portal or related services, whether based on contract, tort, strict liability or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of any such damages.

We make no representation that content provided on our website or related Services are applicable or appropriate for use in all jurisdictions.

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold us harmless from and against any and all claims, damages, costs and expenses, including attorneys' fees, arising from or related to your use of the portal.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right you have under other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Suspension and termination

You agree that we may, without prior notice, immediately terminate, limit your access to or suspend your access to the portal. Cause for such termination or limitation may include i) breaches of these Terms of Use, ii) discontinuance of the portal by us, iii) unexpected technical or security issues or problems, iv) engagement by you in fraudulent or illegal activity v) non-payment of fees. Further, you agree that all terminations, limitations or suspension of access to the portal shall be made at our sole discretion and that we shall not be liable to you or any third party for any termination, suspension or limitation of your use of the portal.

Termination will include any or all of the following i) removal of all or some of your access to the portal, ii) closure of your account, iii) barring you from any future use of the portal.

You may stop using the portal and close your account at any time, from your profile or by asking us — see the Privacy notice for what happens to your data.

Sections 3 (confidential material), 5, 8 and 10 survive the ending of your access.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and Stratsol submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.

11. Contact

Questions about these terms go to Stratsol through the support channel.
